Am Johal is Director of SFU’s Vancity Office of Community Engagement. He sits on the board of the Vancity Community Foundation, the partnerships committee of the Vancouver Foundation, the steering committee of SFU’s Center for Dialogue and is a former member of the Vancouver City Planning Commission. He has a doctorate in media philosophy and is the author of ‘Ecological Metapolitics: Badiou and the Anthropocene.’
